2022 EDITION

We want to say thank you so much for your support and partnership in the gospel. As we reflect on 2022, we wanted to provide you with an End of Year report that gives a little glimpse into how money spent, time invested, resources given, and relationships formed helped equip, plant, and revitalize churches all over the world. Moving into 2023, we are looking forward to seeing how the Lord will use our continued partnership make an eternal impact among the nations.

Your grateful brother,

Nate Akin
Executive Director

Colossians 1:5-6: because of the hope laid up for you in heaven. Of this you have heard before in the word of the truth, the gospel, which has come to you, as indeed in the whole world it is bearing fruit and increasing—as it also does among you, since the day you heard it and understood the grace of God in truth

DEAR PILLAR FAMILY…

KEY METRICS

Pillar serves churches by providing connection, coaching, and cooperative resourcing. Here are some key metrics highlighting how your investment in our network helped accomplish these goals.

~$1.2 Mil. GIVEN TO SUPPORT PLANTS/REVITALIZATIONS

In 2022, our network received the most funds in our history on behalf of our partner plants and revitalizations, totaling $1,202,199.74. This amount does not include monies dedicated towards Ministry Support and other services provided by Pillar that further benefit church plants & revitalizations.

HELPED PLANT 40 NEW CHURCHES

Throughout the past year, Pillar helped 40 new church plants. This includes churches that are in the early stages of planting, launched in 2022, and plants that are still in their infancy.

+111 NEW PARTNER CHURCHES

The Lord has once again blessed our network with significant partner growth in 2022. This year, we were able to partner with over a hundred new like-minded congregations around the world!

HELPED FUND 6 RESIDENCIES

Pillar helped fund 6 residents getting ready to plant.

BUILT 20 CHURCH PLANT WEBSITES

One of the services Pillar provides to new plants is the option to have us build their first website. Pillar also assists new plants with logo design and other branding needs.

HELPED SUPPORT 35+ EVENTS FOR PASTORS

In 2022, Pillar helped support around 35 events meant to equip and encourage pastors and other Christian leaders.

+9 NEW REGIONS LAUNCHED

In 2022, we were able to grow from 35 regions expanding to 44 regions by year’s end. A major aspect of Pillar’s ministry is to help forge localized regions of churches where pastors can engage in historic Baptist associationalism for the good of planting and revitalizing. In addition, many pastors have found encouragement and friendship through regularly meeting with other like-minded shepherds in their cities.

~600 ATTENDEES AT 2022 UNITE CONFERENCE

The Unite Conference is Pillar’s flagship annual event featuring 2-days of preaching, teaching, fellowship, musical worship, breakouts, good food, and enjoyable company. Each year, the theme for this conference comes from one of Pillar’s six DNA points. In 2022, we focused on what it means to be Kingdom-minded.

It was such an encouraging time to gather with close to 600 attendees for Unite 2022 - our largest conference attendance to date.

PILLAR LADIES UPDATE

Participation and leadership from women in Pillar regions grew in 2022. We were able to participate in two different ladies events. The second annual Feed My Sheep for ministry wives in Atlanta, GA with almost 70 attendees and the Thrive Conference in Charlotte, NC for the Pillar women in their region with over 100 attendees. Our Zoom calls this year focused on handling conflict as women in ministry and we gleaned from the wisdom and experience of women like Anna Moore and Lyla Curtis. It was a joy to connect with Pillar women at the SBC Annual Meeting, Unite, and through phone calls and email. I am thankful to serve alongside other women who care so deeply about the church and want to use their gifts to serve and see the church built up and flourishing!

Sincerely,

Sarah Rogers
Women’s Ministry Coordinator
